We decide to share 2 mains, 1 side and 1 dessert! Their menu cool sia, kind of like a mini clipboard, in which its back is the iconic yellow "PARK HV" signboard thingy you see on Instagram that are featured alongside the foods and its pages feel like those recycled paper kind? They have quite a number of items on their menu and possibly 1/4 of the menu itself are solely on alcoholic beverages which we don't drink so I didn't bother taking pics ya hahah

Our mains were the highly raved Truffled Mac & Cheese ($13.50) and Crispy Juicy Chicken Burger ($16.50) and a side of Truffled Fries ($11).

The Truffled Fries smelt really good to be honest!!! Good for sharing as it's a rather generous portion and tastes good! But hor, I still don't know what does truffle actually taste like hahah They just tasted like aromatic, salted fries to me lmao (maybe the saltiness came from the grated parmesan cheese)
I was VERY excited for this okay, 'cause I've read and heard good reviews about it!! I'm actually abiiittt let down? I was expecting a much stronger cheese and creamy texture, because to me, I felt that the cream below was kinda light on the palate so I feel that it won't get jelat. Maybe it's just me 'cause my friends think that it prolly will get jelat to be finished by one. Or maybe it's just 'cause I'm an avid cheese and cream sauce lover hahha
The Crispy Juicy Chicken Burger lives up to its name HAHAHA surprisingly, I quite love the burger!! 2 soft buns sandwiching a large deep fried, tender, juicy chicken, lettuce, tomato slice and slathered with mayo I think. Nomz! It was accompanied by a small bucket of normal salted shoestring fries and a few leafs of lettuce drizzled in some slightly tangy dressing. Spotlight was definitely on the burger hahha.
Just as we were done with our mains, the waiter came to clear the plates and commented "would you like to order desserts? cake with candle maybe?" since he noticed the balloons. But Shihui and I bought a cake in advance and wanted to surprise her so we all kept quiet la hahh Then the waiter was like "okay maybe I shouldn't have said anything" HAHAAH he's damn joke throughout the night I swear.
So we took out the cake la and was in the midst of opening the box then he returned and said to pass to him XD he put onto a plate and helped us put the candle on and lit it up HAHAAH We had some difficulty taking the plastic wrapper around the cake and were like "shit later he come and help us how ah, later he judge us 连 wrapper also don't know how to take" Then at that moment he walked past and and beside our table, in which we all 3 looked up and we all had eye contact for that few seconds before bursting out in laughter HAHAHAHHA Shihui managed to remove it in the end omg hahah
After we finished the lil mango cake, we decided to just order a dessert 'cause we felt bad troubling the waiter HAHAHA Ordered one of the cheaper ones which was the La Opera cake ($5.90) from that same waiter and he jokingly asked "need a candle with that?"
My first thought was "so small?!?" I expected a bigger slice of chocolate cake kind LOL We each took a forkful and simultaneously fell silent for a few seconds. "what the hell is this" HAHAHA It tastes like cheap chocolate to me to be honest omg it's saddening??? and for that price too?? sigh I guess the meal didn't end on a good note from the foods hahaah (ps prices are subjected to 10% service charges and 7% GST, so the total bill was $55.20, each of us paid $18.40.)
But the meeting was definitely a 100points!! Chatted on school dramas, university choices and that waiter definitely made our night HAHHA We left and wanted to take photos so we approached these 2 teenage girls to help us and guess what, they wanted to ask us for help as well HAHHHAH What's even funnier was that as we were helping them to take, a kind lady approachced us and kindly offered to help us all take but we're like " nono we're not friends" HAHAHAH
Can't wait for our next meeting!!! Hopefully it doesn't drag like it did for this one HAHAH
