Hey yo wassup! HAHHAHA soz

So on Tues night, Tong suggested for us to meet up for dinz at Westgate 's Masizzim on Weds since she ended CTs 🎉🎉 Almost full attendance except Ster b'cos she already agreed to meet someone else :c NEXT TIME keke

So, I made my way to JE after work yesterday and met up with Tong and Pua at IMM first to look around. We went to walk around Nike, Watsons and Daiso to kill some time. We headed back to Westgate and wah I really liked the J-Walk linkway sia, connects all the buildings. Still remember the days that I had to cross so many roads just to get to IMM lol.

Reached Masizzim at around 630-ish and there was absolutely 0 queue wew. Heng we went it early b'cos by like 7-ish, there was a line of people at the entrance ler. It's located at the spot where Poulet used to be at, beside Greendot and opposite Isetan, beside the escalator. I've heard good things about Poulet but never got to try it b'cos expensive la sia. Ohwells.

We were kinda debating over whether to order some dishes first, all or wait or Jo to come. Pua brought out her foresight to reason HAHAHAH Tong and her almost bicker again omg HAHAH We decided to just order everything since Jo wasn't gonna eat and Del just woke up.

OH yes, let's backtrack HAHAHH So, Del had a night shift the previous night so she went home to take a nap and asked us to call her at 430. Which we did. In fact, we spammed call her from 430-630, taking turns between home ad mobile HAHAHAHHAH She legit K.O. poor thing HAHAHA

Okay kids let's come back. So here's what we ordered:

Beef Ribs Stew @ $18.80 /pax

We ordered one pax at Level 2 spiciness with Udon noodles. It came in a small wok and the staff set it on a mini portable stove thingy to boil the stew. Ermaigerd can I just mention how good that stew is?? It's almost like gravy kind of viscosity which is like savoury and y'know those gravy that you drizzle over white rice and eat it plain like that? Ya that kind. The noodles were slurpilicious b'cos the gravy clung on to each strand omg yumz. The beef itself is also very tender, breaks apart easily and absorbed that flavour from the stew 👅👅

Look at dat meat. Look at it. Hungry? Yes? Okay good, let's move on 😉

There's also like 3 slices of what I think it the stem of a King Mushroom and 1 piece of ddeok.

Cheese Kimchi Fried Rice

Oh, forgot to mention, the stew came with a bowl of rice which we requested for it to be upgraded to Cheese Kimchi Fried Rice. (soz I have no idea how much the upgrade costs but the ala carte costs $9.80, normal Kimchi Fried Rice costs $1 less) It also came in a small wok and I have to say, it looks pretty sad to me. I think maybe the rice was too lil to be fried so it doesn't look as fluffy as those I'm used to. I can't taste the kimchi flavour and spiciness as well, maybe it was masked by the cheese ba. The cheese pull was shiok thoughh And for those who love their charred rice, fret not, you'll have your ultimate satisfaction scrapping it off the bottom of the wok.

Banchan

There's Kimchi and I think Potato Salad (which misleadingly looked like a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream HAHAH) The kimchi had a good spicy kick but I would like it to be more crunchy but still nomz! I can't say the same about the potato ah haha tastes a bit funky to me. It's mashed potatoes with some chunky bits that I don't know what they are. Tong loves it though so everything for her HAHAH

Potato Pancake @ $12.80

There's also the Tomato Cheese Kimchi Pancake (reminds me of pizza) and Squid & Leek Pancake @ $13.80 and $14.80 respectively. Pua and I had wanted to try the squid & leek one actually but since Tong don't eat squid, we ordered potato which was highly raved by them HAHA 

I think it was pan-fried well b'cos when we grabbed it up with the chopsticks it didn't fall apart. It was soft on the inside and crispy along the edges. It was quite satisfying but not what I'll crave for. I'm more of the texture girl like I prefer to have crunchy things like kimchi inside to contrast the soft pancake y'know. Okay maybe you don't know but now you know 😉 

Nothing to say about the dip la just tastes like normal korean pancake dip lor HAHAAH If you've never tried before then er, it just tastes slightly salty (but not soya sauce hor)

Steam Egg @ $7.80

Pua and Tong were super hyped over this okay HAHAHAH They were like "it's damn good, the broth, must drink the broth". I was skeptical la like how good can steam egg be??? HAHAAHAH It came bubbling hot and with smoke coming out sia woah. I had the honor to have the first spoon of it. 

Err guise? I don't see the magic HAHHAAHH I mean like ya it's smooth and soft la but like that lor HAHHAHA the broth not very impressionable leh, I can't even remember the taste of it liao man HAHAH soz but I think my mum makes better steam egg #sorrynotsorry But y'all should go try it out for yourself la, maybe you can see the magic that I can't 😅

Honey Mustard Cheese Egg Roll @ $9.80

By 7pm Del reached, so she finished the remaining of the food. We decided to order 1 more item, either the pancake or the egg roll. Since Del said that the egg roll she tried at Somerset was realllllyyy good and I kinda realllly wanted to try it as well, we ordered it. There's also another version called the Tuna Seaweed Egg Roll which costs $1 more. 

Oh, ps I just realised this was the egg roll I had wanted to try a long time ago b'cos some food bloggers posted it with the intense cheese pull (saliva flowing)

BUT HOR disappointing sia  😭😭😭😭 Del said it tasted different from the Somerset one. Like there's no taste of harmony y'know!! Legit can taste the components individually, like egg is egg, cheese is cheese, sauce is sauce. Everyone agreed something tasted reallllyyy off (Jo arrived when we were halfway through it). I feel like the egg is abit overdone leh like it should be more soft so that it merges with the cheese. They honey mustard tastes a bit different from the ones I usually tried. I think the honey taste is very strong. SIGH CRYING. Pua say she can make better ones before we ordered. Okay Pua we trust your foresight. SOMETIMES.

Everything amounted to around $67.10 with GST and service charges. Damage done per person was around $16.80 which was actually quite a decent price. 

Omg we wanted to order plain water but it costs like $1 per cup I think wth, don't know if it's free refill not la though sian.

We went to shop around like NYX and Innisfree (mostly is i wanted b'cos I wanted to get some makeup supplies). Pleasant surprise of seeing Meiling working there!! 

Bought loose powder @ $10, contour powder @ $12 and brown pen eyeliner @ $15. THE LOOSE POWDER BOX DAMN CUTE HAHAAHH THAT SMILEY. The light reflection made it look like it has a dentist-winning smile HAHHAH I recently bought my concealer stick from Innisfree as well @ $13. Wah I should just become their member leh LOL and I think it's all kinda relatively affordable eh!! Forgot to get my handcream though HAHAHHA

We wanted to get bingsu but shop didn't have any more seats so we went to Sogurt instead hahhha damn long never go liao, the last time was with the buiz as well. We got like Lychee, Grape and Chocolate flavoured yogurts. Everything added to $17.50 LOL my 3/4 strawberry got so heavy meh sobs. I really liked the lychee and chocolate ones nomz.

Yesterday night was fun, hanging out with my close friends hehe wasn't in a very good mood from work but they made everything better 💓💓 Here's to more outings!! 🙌🙌
